The CBU-UCZ Drama group is a department in the UCZ fellowship who use the talents of acting to minister Gods word and as an avenue of enriching people’s lives using Christian Principles to help people passing through different things in life. The group aims to stand up unashamedly to utilize these skills and reach out to people by giving hope to people through displaying many scenarios of life and identifying a Christian point of view.

Every work that the drama group does is in line with scripture. We have realized the essence of what God has placed in our hearts. This is the reason as to why we boldly stand up and proclaim the word of God without shame. We do realize that the body of Christ is composed of many members all joined together to realize a common go. The group strives to grow men and women who will understand the Divine purpose of our existence. We always pray and reflect on the word of God to really connect to what God wants to do and we standup unashamed to fulfill that.

 

 The vision of the group being;

‘Unashamed to get crazy for Christ’

The theme is realized after we have been nurtured in the Divine understanding of the power of God and the work Christ did when he walked on this earth when he could not count the splendor of his throne but made himself nothing so that he can outline the roadmap of redemption for mankind. We have chosen to follow this path and will endeavor to use this example of humility to lead people to the cross.

The Drama group is a department of bold members who can stand up and portray any character in trying to preach the gospel. God has blessed people with various talents and these talents are to be used for the growth of the kingdom. The church of God is composed of many members; all of which are strategically placed for a purpose. The group recognizes that many people receive the good news in various ways and every way has been anointed by God to reach a specific person. The stage has been used as our pulpit on which we stand unashamed, carrying messages of power, hope and life-giving.  Using our talents, we are able to be relevant in the fellowship, ministering when called upon and also help in uniting members of the fellowship by touching hearts in drama while adding joy to hearts of many.

 

The drama group is a family within a family who interacts with people and tries to understand the many spheres of life people go through. It’s a family of individuals who don’t put boundaries on anybody but are willing to impart any life. It’s a fantastic group of might men and women of valor who believe that God uses many ways to reach to his people. And drama is not an exception, it’s a fertile ground which God has used many times and the impact it has caused is visible. The work done in this group is heartwarming and indeed powerful in the growth of the fellowship and in bridging the fellowship with other fellowships or churches.

The drama group is a unique department in the fellowship in that it can encompass all the arts in the fellowship. It operates using sketches/ plays while within these can be singing, dancing or even poetry. The group uses the stage as the pulpit to minister and every presentation is taken very serious and prayers are done to make sure its God operating and we are just vessels. The objective of the group is not to entertain but using this unique art that can make people laugh to put across a specific message that somebody has been hoping for and try to put joy in such persons life.
